Matthew Stewart is a freelance fantasy illustrator and painter known for bringing a classical realism approach to imaginative subjects, working primarily in traditional oils with an intensive sketch/reference/study process.
He studied illustration at Parsons School of Design (BFA, 1999) and has built a long career spanning major publishing and game clients.
He was born in a small town outside St. Louis, Missouri, and now lives in Calgary, Alberta.
