Christopher Rush (April 6, 1965 – February 10, 2016) was an American fantasy illustrator and one of the original Magic: The Gathering artists.
Wizards of the Coast credited him as a key early contributor whose comic book–inspired style helped shape Magic’s look and feel from the very beginning.
He’s especially remembered by players for illustrating the original Black Lotus, one of the game’s most iconic images.
